Pioneer Label Merlot 2005

This wine is labeled under the special Pioneer Label first used by Peter Britt in the 1800’s and resurrected by our father Frank in 1976 for the first few vintages at the “new” Valley View. It represents the 30 year anniversary of our winery and will be a collector’s item especially since only 160 cases were produced.

2007 Anna Maria Late Harvest Pinot Gris

The grapes for this Pinot Gris were grown at Big Bear vineyard in the hills above Jacksonville. After harvest we froze the grapes and pressed them while frozen which resulted in an intensely flavored sweet wine with flavors of apricot, mango and honey. This is a nicely balanced wine with great acidity that keeps your interest through out dessert. Not just another sweet wine.

Anna Maria Applegate Valley Tempranillo 2005

The fruit from this wine is estate grown from our vineyard in the Applegate Valley. The 2005 vintage was a warm year that created wines that are soft and drinkable but not heavy on tannins. Bright flavors of red plums and raspberry are balanced with toasty oak to create a smooth and enjoyable wine.

Anna Maria Rogue Valley Tempranillo 2005

The grapes for the 2005 Rogue Valley Tempranillo are from our estate vineyard in the Applegate Valley and from Ellis vineyard in the Bear Creek Valley. This full bodied wine is dense and rich with flavors of dried cherries and cola with fine tannins and a long finish.

Anna Maria Claret 2005

The 2005 Claret is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine clearly was better than any of the individual components... it is amazingly enjoyable now but we are confident it will be even better in year or so.

Anna Maria Port 2007

This blend of Merlot and Tempranillo features flavors of ripe plum, vanilla, black cherry and a touch of cocoa in the finish. Enjoy a small glass at the end of dinner with family and friends- and contemplate that even in these uncertain and challenging times, we still have plenty of reasons to be thankful.
