Pioneer Label Merlot 2005

This wine is labeled under the special Pioneer Label first used by Peter Britt in the 1800’s and resurrected by our father Frank in 1976 for the first few vintages at the “new” Valley View. It represents the 30 year anniversary of our winery and will be a collector’s item especially since only 160 cases were produced.

Anna Maria Pinot Noir 2009

Valley View winery made its first Pinot Noir in 1979 but this is the first one produced 7 years and it is a good one. The fruit is from the Red Hills appellation of Southern Oregon, known for it excellent climate for Pinot Noir. The wine has a wonderful nose of red cherries and raspberries with flavors of red plums, vanilla and spice. This is one of those wines that is just really easy to drink but yet quite complex at the same time and is always gone by the end of the night. Only 500 cases produced, only sold at the winery and a few restaurants around the country.

Rosado 2010

This Rosado (Rose) is a blend of Tempranillo and Syrah and is the perfect wine for the summer and fall. It is off-dry and offers flavors of raspberry and cherries with a clean bright finish, perfect for appetizers or with chicken or fish. The wine is off dry with just a hint of sweetness.

Anna Maria Claret 2008

Peter Britt first released a Valley View Claret nearly 150 years ago and we are proud to continue this tradition. The 2008 Claret is a traditional Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and is very similar to the outstanding and highly acclaimed 2003 Claret. Featuring bold, ripe flavors of black currents, sweet plums and creamy vanilla, this red demands a full flavored meal now and will greatly reward a year or two of bottle age.

Anna Maria Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2008

This wine is made by freezing the grapes right after harvest and then pressing them while frozen which results in an intensely flavored sweet wine with flavors of apricot, mango and honey. The wine is then aged nearly two years in brand new French oak barrels. This is a nicely balanced wine with great acidity that keeps your interest throughout dessert. This is not just another sweet wine.
